These Silkstone Barbie is made of a type of hard vinyl mimicking porcelain Barbie dolls of the Vintage late 1950’s and early 1960’s doll eras. The silkstone collections have distinctive make up, hair style, clothing, and a permanent pose in the style of a model. Most Barbie Dolls are made of a much softer vinyl material resembling a rubber-like feel and are bendable and softer to the touch. Because of the Vintage porcelain like hard vinyl, the silkstone Barbie dolls are sometimes difficult to dress and place into position, clearly stating that these dolls are more designed for collectors rather than playable by little girls.
